FrontPage

Back in 2006, I took pathology in medical school. For our lab group, I decided to start a wiki page. During that term, we all added information to the wiki page for our lab assignments, and created a great reference that we were able to use in class, and later for studying.

For the last seven years, I kept the pages up because I thought it might be useful to other students. I have received many requests for "access" to the site, but there was nothing hidden behind the site. "Access" was only required to edit pages, and the site was "complete," insofar as it had been edited by my path lab group in order to complete the assignments from class.

On September 8, 2013, I received the following email:

Message from m***@***.com via Path Wiki:

You are in violation of US copyright law by publishing the illustration showing the crossection of the breast. Please remove this image by Sept. 15, 2013, or face legal action.

Now, I have no idea which illustration this person is referring to. I also do not have the time to try and look through all the images (most of which I personally did not upload) in order to figure out the offending one. (As an aside, it would have been nice if the person involved had given me a page reference to the image in question, so that I could just remove that one).

As a result of this, I have decided that it would be easier to just take the entire site down. I hope it was useful to other students. I know at one point I checked the statistics and saw that people were visiting the site for all over the world.

I might, at some point, change the site again. I have some ideas, but for now this will have to do.
